We build and maintain capacity for safe and innovative engineering education and practice by understanding and closing the gaps between engineering education and industry practice in Nigeria. F or example, we are introducing recommendations and set of guidelines for impactful curriculum development, tracking, and verification of engineering skills. This we are achieving through inclusive engagements, for instance the project has uncovered the lack of collaboration between academia and industry, leading to efforts to bridge the gap and increase industry involvement in OBE. The first hybrid stakeholders engagement workshop which took place on the 28th August 2023 developed curriculum guidelines and Industry-Academia Collaboration Framework, today 22nd September 2023 hybrid stakeholders engagement workshop will featured a 5 syndicate group discussion for the validation of the guidelines and the framework. We are grateful to God and we thank our sponsors the Royal Academy of Engineering and Lloyd’s Register Foundation.

You are doing a great job, Dr
I am delighted to be part of the focus group targeted to review the new Core Curriculum Minimum Academic Standard (CCMAS) and specific changes required to mainstream outcome-based engineering education in Nigerian universities.
It’s a promising one, which is instrumental for both studying and practicing.
